Études sur Paris workshop – Day 1 & 2

Last week, the students were able to participate in the workshop of “Études sur Paris “ with the collaboration of the professors and students of Institut d’Urbanisme et de Géographie Alpine (IUGA), Grenoble, France.

The first-day meeting of all was scheduled. at the CNC (291 bd Raspail, 75014 Paris) where the film “Studies in Paris” (1928) by André Sauvage was been displayed. On this occasion, Giuseppe Gavazza composed live original music.

The objective of the workshop was for them to extend Sauvage’s questioning on Parisian urban areas and this almost 100 years after him. After the movie, Students were in the discussion session with the professors and other experts to talk about their task.

To do this, Students of Louisiana State University(LSU) and Institut d’Urbanisme et de Géographie Alpine (IUGA) were instructed to explore Paris in a selective zone and film the places of Sauvage.

The next day the students, within their group, planned their journey, they were assigned, to the area or surrounding areas.

Participants have the chance to make new friends and explore their experience in Paris more.

After the survey, they have a chance to have dinner together.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to explore Paris with their peers from Institut d’Urbanisme et de Géographie Alpine (IUGA), Grenoble, France. It is a great opportunity to enhance a unique vision for the future of Paris.
